Maccabi Tel Aviv finished strongly to beat Zalgiris Kaunas 88-81 in Euroleague on Thursday. Trailing 79-72 with less than 4 minutes remaining, they fought back to score 16 points, conceding only 2. Dragan Bender was Maccabi's top scorer with 16 points. Nigel Hayes eclipsed that with 24 for Zalgiris. Maccabi improved to 12-17 in the standings with three games of the regular season to play - and two postponed games still play. Zalgiris dropped to 15-16.
