A dramatic finale saw Barcelona hold off the challenge of Olympiacos as they won 76-74 in a EuroLeague classic encounter on Thursday. Cory Higgins' free-throws had put Barca two points clear with six seconds remaining - but with the last play of the game a shot from Vassilis Spanoulis fell short, the initial rebound from Hassan Martin missed as did a second rebound from Kostas Sloukas. The third follow-up from Georgios Printezis went in - but agonisingly for Olympiacos just after the final buzzer. The Greek side had worked their way into the lead after being ten points adrift in the third quarter but couldn't press home their advantage in the closing stages. Nikola Mirotic top-scored for EuroLeague leaders Barca with 16 points, while Shaquille McKissic scored 18 for the unfortunate Olympiacos.
