Stefanos Tsitsipas fought back from a set and a break down to beat Gael Monfils in the Dubai Tennis Championships semi-finals on Friday - a result that will lift the Greek into the top 10 of the ATP Tour rankings for the first time. Monfils was broken in his opening service games, but the Frenchman broke Tsitsipas in two successive service games on the way to taking the first set 6-4. Tsitsipas was broken again in a marathon third game of the second, but the 20-year-old levelled at 3-3 and went on to win the ensuing tiebreaker 7-4. Neither player could manage a break in the third set, but Tsitsipas claimed the solitary mini-break in the tiebreaker for a 3-1 lead and went on to win the match 4-6, 7-6(4), 7-6(4). Tsitsipas now stands between Roger Federer and a 100th career ATP Tour singles title - the Swiss star beat Borna Coric in straight sets in Friday's second semi.
