Tennis: Svitolina hammers Rus to reach final of Monterrey Open

Elina Svitolina recorded a comfortable victory over Arantxa Rus in the semi-finals of the Monterrey Open. Svitolina of Ukraine defeated Dutch Arantxa Rus in straight sets in the Monterrey Open semi-finals. The top seed lost only one game in the second set to claim her berth in the trophy match. Svitolina cruised into the finals at Monterrey with a bruising 6-0, 6-1 win over Arantxa Rus.
