World number one Ashleigh Barty suffered an upset defeat by Sofia Kenin in the semi-finals of the Australian Open. Kenin stunned local favourite Barty in straight sets. Sofia advanced into her first Grand Slam final following a 7-6 (6), 7-5 victory over Ash Barty in Australian Open women's singles semifinal in Melbourne.
