The BNP Paribas Open will include all of the top 75 ranked men's and women's players in the world - except for defending male champion Juan Martin del Potro. Del Potro - who beat Roger Federer in last year's final, released a statement through tournament officials on Wednesday, revealing that he has been advised to rest by his doctors as a result of a knee injury. Federer, will be looking for his 101 career title following his victory at the Dubai Open, while three-time champion Rafa Nadal returns to Indian Wells after his late withdrawal last year through injury. Should Federer and Nadal progress through the competition, they are expected to meet in the semi-finals, with Kei Nishikori on the other side of the draw.
