Tennis : Barty battles from a set down to beat Kvitova and reach China Open semis

The world number one Ashleigh Barty moved into the semi-finals at the China Open after coming from a set down to beat Petra Kvitova 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 in Beijing on Friday.Kvitova led their head to head 4-1 coming into the match and must have thought this would end in her favour after controlling the first set, but Barty powered back to claim the three set victory after two hours and nine minutes on court. The level of tennis was so high that Barty said after after the game it was one of the 'highest quality matches I played all year.
