Italian Andreas Seppi beat qualifier Peter Gojowczyk of Germany 7-6(3), 3-6, 6-2 to reach the second round of the World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam on Monday. Seppi, ranked number 40 in the world, needed one hour and 55 minutes to win the match and now faces either tenth-seed David Goffin of Belgium or France's Gael Monfils in the second round.
