Tennis News : Pliskova fights back to beat Ostapenko in Italian Open quarter-finals

The ninth-seed Karolina Pliskova of Czech Republic saved three match balls against Latvia's Jelena Ostapenko by 4-6, 7-5, 7-6(1) in two hours and 20 minutes to reach the semi-finals of the Italian Open on Friday. Pliskova now faces Croatia's Petra Martic for a place in the final.
