Tennis: Halep beats Mertens to win Prague Open final

Top seed Simona Halep won her second successive tournament with a straight sets win over world number 23 Elise Mertens of Belgium to win the Prague Open final on Sunday. The Romanian won in Dubai - her last event before lockdown - and made a rapid return to the winner's circle with a 6-2, 7-5 win over the third seed in Prague. Halep was in top form on the Prague clay, winning in one hour 33 minutes to win her 21st event on the WTA Tour.
