The honourable Delhi High Court in its recent order has recalled the 2020 provisional annual recognition of 54 National Sports Federations, which was granted by the Ministry of Sports till September 30, 2020. In the copy of the order of Honorable Delhi High Court accessed by Power Sportz it is clearly mentioned that on perusing the application, it transpires that in the teeth of the order dated 07.02.2020, respondent NO.1/MYSA has on its own proceeded to provisionally renew the annual recognition in respect of 54 federations for the year 2020, till 30.09.2020. The order also says that at this stage, Mr. Rahul Mehra the petitioner draws the attention of this court to the affidavit dated 16.6.2020, filed by the respondent No. 1/MYSA wherein it has been stated that the Ministry proposes to restore the suspension/withheld Government recognition of three National Sports Federations namely, Indian Golf Union, School Games Federation of India and the Rowing Federation of India and that the respondent No. 1/MYSA shall maintain the status quo ante in respect of the said decision as well, till the further orders.
