Football: 'We are lagging behind our expectations' - Dortmund's Zorc on difficult season

Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc said the German Bundesliga club "are lagging behind our own expectations" this season. Dortmund, now under the guidance of Edin Terzic, sit fourth in the standings and are already eight points behind rivals and table-toppers Bayern Munich after 14 games. Terzic, who was appointed as Dortmund head coach last month, has overseen a mini-revival and won three of his four games in charge. The 38-year-old shared his view on the differences between being an assistant coach - a position which he has previously held at Dortmund, Turkish club Besiktas and English side West Ham United - and head coach, with his current position his first as a manager. Terzic also said, as a Dortmund fan, he shoulders the burden of the "special meaning" felt by all supporters of the club.
