Football: Real have enough players - Zidane responds to Alaba rumours

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has refused to comment on speculation linking out-of-contract Bayern Munich defender David Alaba with a move to the Bernabeu. The Austrian international, who joined Bayern back in 2009, is out-of-contract at the Allianz Arena at the end of this season and is not poised to put pen to paper on a new deal with the German giants. Zidane is confident Eden Hazard will show his best version since he joined from Chelsea. The Belgium international has failed to shine in La Liga giants after suffering several injuries that have sidelined him from the team. Hazard played his first minutes against Elche last Wednesday after recovering from a thigh strain. Reigning champions Real Madrid will look to return to winning ways in La Liga when they host in-form Celta Vigo on Saturday in their first match of 2021. Zinedine Zidane's side were pegged back to 1-1 against Elche on Wednesday after recording five straight league victories. Real lie second in the La Liga table, just two points behind leaders Atletico Madrid, although Atletico have two games in hand. Meanwhile, Celta have enjoyed a great run with four wins and a draw from their last five La Liga matches; they lie eighth in the table.
