Football: Former Man Utd striker scores as AEK draw with Panathinakos

AEK Athens moved level with second-placed PAOK on 52 points after they drew 1-1 with Panathinaikos in their opening Greek Super League play-off match at the Olympiako Stadio Spyros Louis on Sunday. The 'regular season' had consisted of 26 matchdays and teams played each other in home and away fixtures, which totalled 26 games per team. At the end of the 26 fixtures, the top six teams entered the play-offs while teams ranked 7th-14th entered the play-outs. All points accumulated in the regular season transferred over to the play-offs and play-outs. The play-offs will decide the Greek Super League champion and European places for the 2020-2021 season.
