Cricket News: DDCA elects six directors

Delhi and District Cricket Association announce the results of six posts after night long counting of votes with Dinesh Sharma, Ashok Sharma, Harish Singla and Karnail Singh winning the posts of four directors up for grabs. Shashi Khanna got the treasurer's post while Rohan Jaitley had earlier been elected president unopposed. There were 9 candidates who contested for four posts of directors. Three of the four directors Ashok Sharma, Dinesh Sharma and Karnail Singh belonged to a group that comprised several factions while the other Harish Singla belonged to the CK Khanna group. According to sources in the media Ashok Sharma got the maximum number of votes which is 1037, Harish Singla got 835 votes, Dinesh Sharma got 808 votes and Karnail Singh got 806 votes. All the six directors including the president and treasurer have been elected for 8 months till June 2021 when AGM of DDCA will be held.
