Basketball : Barcelona beat Panathinaikos 91-82 in EuroLeague

Barcelona fought back to beat Panathinaikos 92-81 and underline their credentials as possibles for the EuroLeague title this season. The home side were ahead for the most part but as Barca grew stronger, so the Athens side began to fade. Barcelona scored 54 second-half points to ensure a 19th in in 25 matches this season, while Panathinaikos drop to 14-11 but still very much in the play-off picture.
