Alba Berlin ended a run of five defeats in six games with a well-deserved 84-77 Euroleague win over Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz on Friday. Baskonia led 50-46 at half-time but Alba turned the tables in the third quarter and held on despite a late final quarter rally from the home side. The defeat was harsh on Baskonia's Achille Pollonara, who scored a career-best 23 points - but the German side had five men into double figures and now lie just one place behind their opponents in the standings, with Baskonia in 13th.
