Shooting News: Will try diplomatic channels to get shooting back at CWG - Kiren Rijiju

Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju made it clear that the government cannot interfere in sports matter but promised to explore diplomatic channels to have shooting included in the 2022 Commonwealth Games programme. The minister, who visited the National Institute of Sports said he is aware of the pullout threat made by the Indian Olympic Association after the Commonwealth Games Federation left out shooting from sports programme of the Birmingham edition. The IOA had recently said it will not be averse to taking the unprecedented step of pulling out of the Commonwealth Games.
