Five-time Olympic gold medalist Ian Thorpe wants to see the postponed 2020 Olympics go ahead in 2021. Thorpe: "First and foremost is people’s health so let’s put that into perspective. If we haven’t got a treatment or a vaccine for COVID, the Olympics will possibly not go ahead. For some athletes, they are loving they have an extra year to train. For other athletes, they may be are at the end of their careers, or they may not be able to afford to be able to hold out for another year. So there’s winners and losers in this. I want to see the Olympics go ahead next year. I hope we’re at a stage around the world where it kind of becomes a light at the end of the tunnel."
