Tokyo Olympic : Tokyo Olympic five party talks opening remarks

Preparation for the Tokyo games is underway and Thomas Bach, IOC President, ensures that well above 80% will be vaccinated in residence of the Olympic villages. Tokyo 2020 hosts a Five-Party Meeting with Tokyo Metropolitan Government, Government of Japan, International Olympic Committee, and International Paralympic Committee on Monday. With about a month to go until the opening of the Olympics, they hope to discuss decisions on spectators. Bach says the IOC will support any decision to make the games safe and secure. Seiko Hashimoto, Tokyo 2020 President, says that the venues are in the final stage of preparation and that the safety and security of the games is a priority. The games will open on July 23rd.
