Elina Svitolina breezed past Garbine Muguruza of Spain 6-1, 6-2 in the second round of the Dubai Tennis Championships in the United Arab Emirates. The sixth-seeded Ukrainian dropped only three games on her way to a convincing routing of the 12-seeded Spaniard in an hour and four minutes. Two-time defending champion, Svitolina, booked her place in the quarter-finals of the competition for the fourth year running, and she did so with a run of 11 matches unbeaten at the Dubai tournament. She will next face world number 26, Carla Suarez-Navarro, for her chance to win a third-consecutive Dubai Tennis Championships title.
