The second seeded, Elina Svitolina, came from behind to beat Spanish player Paula Badosa Gibert 4-6, 6-1, 7-6 (7-1) to advance to the second round at the WTA Eastbourne International on Tuesday. Svitolina will next face Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan.
