French Open champion Iga Swiatek won her second match on Saturday beating Coco Gauff 7:6, 6:3 in the semi-final of the Italian Open in Rome. Earlier on Saturday, Swiatek's beat two-time champion Elina Svitolina in their quarter-final that had been postponed due to rain on Friday. In a battle between the two top-ranked teenagers in the WTA singles rankings, No.15 seed 19-year old Iga Swiatek ousted 17-year old Coco Gauff to set up a final meeting with ninth seed Karolina Pliskova.
