Barbora Krejcikova defeated Daria Kasatkina 6-3 6-2 in their opening-round match at the Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati, USA, on Monday. The Czech was barely troubled throughout the match, gaining a break in the fourth game to take the opening set and closing out the second in eight games. She faces either wildcard Catherine McNally or Dayana Yastremska in the second round.
