French Open champion Iga Swiatek was pushed hard by Barbora Krejcikova before coming through at the Italian Open on Thursday. The Polish 15th seed saved two matchpoints on the way to a 3-6, 7-6 (5), 7-5 victory in two hours and 50 minutes - and a place in the quarter-finals. The pair had only met once previously - 19-year-old Swiatek winning comfortably at the Miami Open in late March. But the Czech was coming off a big upset win over fourth seed Sofia Kenin - and was a very different proposition here at the Foro Italico.
