Tennis: Nadal moves through to Paris Masters quarters

Rafael Nadal moved through to the quarter-finals of the Paris Masters after beating Jordan Thompson in straight sets. The top seed won his 1001st ATP match after the 6-1 7-6 result in the French capital. Nadal is looking for his first title at the Paris event and will face Spanish compatriot Pablo Carreno Busta in the last-eight.
