Tennis: Nadal fires back at Aussie Open critic Pella

Rafael Nadal, World's number 2 at ATP Rankings, fired back on criticism that he wouldn't be doing too much to help fellow tennis players at the Australian Open to have better conditions to prepare for the tournament. In an interview to ESPN Argentina, the Spaniard replied to the comments made by Argentine Guido Pella towards him last week after the Serbian wrote to Australian Open organizers pleading for the easing of quarantine conditions, saying that "(Novak) Djokovic's balcony is bigger than my room but at least he said something, I'm surprised with Nadal and (Dominic) Thiem's silence" Nadal told that "some people need to make public these things that are done to help fellow players. Others prefer to do it in a more private way', and agreed with the show host when he said that it would be an act to "play to the crowd". The Australian Open starts on February 8th.
