Tennis: I lost to the 'King of Melbourne' - Medvedev on final defeat by Djokovic

Daniil Medvedev said that he lost to the "King of Melbourne", Novak Djokovic, in the 2021 Australian Open final at Melbourne Park on Sunday. Djokovic defeated Medvedev in straight sets, 7-5, 6-2, 6-2, as the Serb claimed his ninth Australian Open crown and 18th Grand Slam title overall. The result moved Djokovic to within two Grand Slam titles of the overall record of 20, shared by Federer and Nadal, and Medvedev ranked all three players as the "toughest opponents in my life."
