Table Tennis News: Harmeet Desai talks exclusively to Power Sportz

Table Tennis player Harmeet Desai made his dream come true of winning the gold medal at Commonwealth Table Tennis Championships after he watched Sharath Kamal winning the men’s singles title in the same tournament in 2004. Desai, right after 15 years was on the winners’ podium collecting the same prize in the tournament. Recalling the winning moment he said and I quote, This is the most important title I have won. I watched (Sharath) Kamal on TV when he won it in 2004. I was very happy an overjoyed for him. To win it myself, it is a special feeling. I feel that it will take time to sink in. Harmeet also shared that his diet till the 2018 Asiad has been pretty strict. He said that the table tennis team of India is on the right track to win medals in Olympic and the next target for him is to qualify for Tokyo Olympics 2020.
