Tokyo Summer Olympics chief Yoshiro Mori says the games must be held as a symbol of overcoming the COVID-19 pandemic and said organisers will give an update later in the day on the full costs of postponing the Olympics for a year. Mori spoke at the opening of the latest Tokyo Olympic Executive Board meeting on Tuesday The 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics, which were postponed this year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, are set to open on July 23, 2021, with the Paralympics to follow on Aug. 24.
