Motor Sport: Price and Sainz claimed stage five bike and car victories at Dakar Rally

Stage five of the Dakar Rally witnessed Australian Toby Price becoming the first double-stage winner of the bike class. Pablo Quintanilla finished second and his team-mate Andrew Short came in third place. Price’s KTM team-mate and 2010 champion Sam Sunderland crashed out of the event. Carlos Sainz also became the first repeat stage winner in the car category. The two-time champion beat his main rival Nasser Al-Attiyah into second. Stephane Peterhansel finished third as he lost three minutes with a puncture.
