ICC T20 World Cup 2021 ; Bangladesh looking for their own brand of cricket at ICC T20 World Cup

Bangladesh will begin their qualification campaign of the ICC T20 World Cup on the back of three spectacular series wins against Australia, New Zealand and Zimbabwe. The Tigers will open their campaign against Scotland in Oman and would look to top the group and later qualify for Super 12s in the main competition. Experienced opening batter Tamim Iqbal is missing the tournament, having decided to make way for younger talent. Captain Mahmadullah Riyad is banking on youngster Mohammed Naim to fill in the void at the top of the batting, given the youngster showed great promise against the experienced teams like Australia and New Zealand. Bangladesh's preparations have hit a rough patch given they lost both their warm-up matches - to Sri Lanka and Ireland. But with the addition of their star player Shakib Al Hasan, who is currently playing the IPL, the team is hoping to stamp their own brand of cricket in this ICC T20 World Cup.
