Hockey News: National camp last chance for the probables to prove their mettle before the world cup squad is finalized

With an impressive Asian Champions Trophy campaign, the next major assignment for the Indian Hockey team is the upcoming world cup to be held at home. The expectations from the fans will certainly be high for a strong show. Well before the mega event kicks off, Hockey India has announced a 34 member core group for a final national camp from which the 18 member squad will be picked for the mega event. Coach Harendra Singh said this is the last chance for the probables to prove their mettle before the squad is finalized. Each member of the camp will be raring to give it their all with a world cup berth at stake as the competition will be intense. The 23-day camp will take place at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar.
