Dustin Johnson saw a six-shot lead shrink to two before a recovery allowed him to sign for a 5-under round of 66 and a four-shot lead over Rory McIlroy at -16 after the third round of the in the Mexico Championship on Saturday. Johnson went into the trees three times on his way to a double bogey at the 10th. He answered with back-to-back birdies. McIlroy had to settle for a 68 and sits at 12-under. US pair Patrick Reed and Patrick Cantlay, plus Cameron Smith of Australia and Spain's Sergio Garcia share third place at nine under, seven shots off the pace. Tiger Woods got to within four shots after Johnson's blunder until a four-putt double bogey and a three-putt bogey on consecutive holes. Woods had a 70 and is now 10 shots behind.
