Reaction from the Estadio Jose Alvalade in Lisbon on Thursday after RB Leipzig reached their first Champions League semi-final with a 2-1 win over Atletico Madrid. 21 year-old American Tyler Adams struck the winner in the 88th minute, just as the tie seemed to be heading for extra time. Dani Olmo had given Leipzig the lead at the start of the second half, only for Atletico substitute Joao Felix to equalise from the penalty spot. Then came Adams' defelected effort and there was not time for Diego Simeone's men to respond. Julian Nagelsmann's Leipzig, who were only founded in 2009, also reached the last four without the services of prolific striker Timo Werner, who has already moved to Chelsea. The result piled more painful disappointment on Diego Simeone's Atletico - they finished runners-up in European football's elite club competition in 2014 and again in 2016.
