Football: Robin van Persie scores hat-trick in Feyenoord's 4-0 win against FC Emmen

Robin van Persie scored a hat-trick in Feyenoord's 4-0 victory over struggling FC Emmen in the Dutch Eredivisie on Sunday. The 35-year-old striker has now moved past 200 career league goals and increased his tally this season to 14. Sven Braken gave Feyenoord a scare in the first half before van Persie found the net for the first time in the 38th minute. He was put through by Steven Berghuis to score his second in the 52nd minute, and completed his hat-trick 10 minutes later. Berghuis then wrapped up the win with a magnificent free-kick 14 minutes from time. Feyenoord remain third in the table, 15 points adrift of leaders PSV Eindhoven and 10 behind Ajax, while relegation-threatened Emmen lie third from bottom.
