There are a total of 32 teams, who will take part in the tournament the teams will be divided into 8 groups of 4 each.

Africa (CAF) 5 teams - Senegal, Ghana, Tunisia, Morocco and Cameroon
Asia (AFC): 4 (plus 1 playoff qualifier) Qatar, Iran, South Korea, Japan, & Saudi Arabia.
Europe (UEFA): 13 - England, France, Portugal, Spain, Croatia, Denmark, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland,Belgium, Poland, Serbia.
The 13th European team is yet to be decided as one of Wales vs Scotland or Ukraine will qualify.
North/Central America & Caribbean (CONCACAF) (OFC): 3 (plus 1 playoff qualifier) – USA, Mexico, Canada, Cost Rica / New Zealand
South America (CONMEBOL): 4 (plus 1 playoff qualifier) & Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Ecuador, and Peru (If wins play-offs final)
The draw for the tournament takes place on Friday 1 April 2022, at the DECC venue in Doha, Qatar at circa 5pm BST.
There are 4 pots divisions
Pot 1: Qatar (host country), Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, England, France, Portugal and Spain.
Pot 2: United States, Croatia, Denmark, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, Uruguay and Mexico.
Pot 3: Senegal, Japan, Iran, Serbia, Morocco, South Korea, Poland, Tunisia.
Pot 4: Canada, Cameroon, Ecuador, Saudi Arabia, Ghana, Peru/Australia/UAE, Costa Rica/New Zealand, Wales/Scotland/Ukraine.
Qatar, the host nation, will be in Group A's first position.
The remaining countries will be divided into four pots based on FIFA rankings, with the top-ranked sides joining Qatar in pot one.
Aside from Europe, which can have no more than two nations in any one groupeach group will have just one nation from each confederation.
