Football News: UAE beat India 2-0 to go on top in Group A in the AFC Asian Cup

The Indian football team, who faced hosts UAE in their second group game in the ongoing Asian Cup, were defeated 2-0 by UAE. India started off the game well with creating quite a few chances but unfortunately, they were not able to convert those chances into a goal. A lack of concentration in the defence by Anas and Jhingan proved costly as UAE took the lead in the 41st minute through Khalfan Mubarak and went into the break with a 1-0 lead. India once again started the 2nd half on a positive note and were unlucky to not equalize in the 55th minute when Udanta’s shot hit the crossbar. Also, it was not meant to be as Ali Ahmed Mabkhout ended all hopes of an Indian comeback to take his side to a 2-0 victory.
