Football News : Real Madrid no more interested in PSG’s Kylian Mbappe

According to reports, Real Madrid has given up on signing Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain after failing to do so in the summer. Initially scheduled to become a free agent at the conclusion of the 2021-22 season, the World Cup winner was widely anticipated to sign with Carlo Ancelotti's Spanish and European champions.

However, Mbappe decided to sign a new three-year agreement with the Ligue 1 winners, at an estimated £1 million per week, less than a month before his PSG contract was set to end.

As a result of Mbappe's new deal, there has been a furious feud between the French and Spanish football authorities. Mbappe directly notified Florentino Perez that he would not be coming to the Bernabeu.

Erling Braut Haaland was another player who Los Blancos lost out on to Manchester City, with Karim Benzema still serving as Ancelotti's attack's spearhead for the time being.

Mbappe has a three-year deal with Les Parisiens, but a condition in his contract reportedly allows the 23-year-old to depart for free at the end of the 2023-24 season.

Marca asserts that Real Madrid has reportedly ruled out any further interest in signing Mbappe because of the player's excessive price demands, which Los Blancos are reportedly unwilling to meet.

The La Liga winners have also backed out of any potential deal for Haaland, according to the source, while Real Madrid is also unwilling to pay a hefty signing-on fee for Mbappe.

Real Madrid would purportedly explore a potential trade if either Mbappe or Haaland become available at a reasonable price, although Ancelotti's team is no longer considering the pair.

Mbappe has started the 2022-23 season in strong form with 10 goals in nine games, following a season in which he recorded 39 goals and 26 assists in 46 appearances for PSG across all competitions.

Since joining the French champions on loan in the summer of 2017, the former Monaco youngster has amassed 181 goals and 88 assists in 226 games.

In that period, Mbappe has won four Ligue 1 championships, three Coupe de France crowns, two Coupe de la Ligues, three Trophee des Champions awards, and four straight Ligue 1 Golden Boots.

The star of Real Madrid, Karim Benzema, scored three goals in his first four La Liga games of the new season, but the 34-year-old has missed the previous two weeks of action due to a muscle injury he suffered in the Champions League against Celtic.

In place of Benzema, Rodrygo started Sunday's Madrid derby against Atletico Madrid, and he scored the game's first goal with a volley after 16 minutes as the team won 2-1.

Real Madrid's victory over Diego Simeone's team extended their winning streak to nine games to begin the 2022-23 season, which is their greatest start in 54 years.
