Football News: Kylian Mbappe 'not interested in Al-Hilal talks despite world-record bid'

Kylian Mbappe has reportedly turned down a move to Al Hilal, stating that he is not interested in moving to Saudi Arabia.

Al-Hilal launched a world-record €300 million (£257 million) bid for Mbappe earlier this week, with the forward looking to leave Paris Saint-Germain.

That fee would eclipse the £166 million PSG paid to get Mbappe to the club from Monaco in 2017, and would break Neymar's record as the world's most expensive footballer.

PSG granted the club permission to talk with Mbappe because they want to sell him rather than lose him for free next summer.

Mbappe was dropped from the Ligue 1 club's pre-season squad last week and promptly put up for sale.

According to Sky Sports News, Mbappe is not interested in meeting with Al-Hilal personnel because he has already agreed agreements to join Real Madrid on a free transfer in 12 months.

The Saudi club was expected to grant Mbappe a one-year contract before allowing him to leave when Real Madrid came knocking.

PSG would prefer to obtain a fee and has informed Mbappe that he must leave this transfer window and will consider all offers for the 2018 World Cup winner.

Mbappe is now refusing to sign a new contract with PSG, and the club has stated that he will not play for them again unless he signs an extension.

Following reports that Al-Hilal will offer Mbappe a £600 million contract for just one season, it appeared Mbappe might join big names Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema at the Gulf state.

However, the 24-year-old is certain to stay in Paris and finish out his deal before transferring to Madrid.

According to the source, Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Inter Milan, and Barcelona are all interested after being informed by PSG's want to sell the player.

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has highlighted potential obstacles to a move, and Barcelona's financial difficulties make a deal improbable as well.

Despite his youth, Mbappe is already PSG's all-time leading scorer, but the manner of his departure may cause friction between the two clubs.

Real Madrid may have to wait until next summer after spending a nine-figure fee on Jude Bellingham this summer.
