Borussia Dortmund started their new season on a fine note as the yellow army from Germany outdid Bayern Munich 2-0 in the German Super Cup. The 19-year-old Jadon Sancho shone perfectly as the England international scored one and assisted one to give Dortmund a 2-0 victory. Favre’s side were going well in the Bundesliga before the first half last season but the same wasn’t the case in the second half, where Dortmund allowed Kovac’s Bayern to win their 29th German top-flight title. Dortmund will play their opening Bundesliga match versus Augsburg. Bayern, on the other hand, will battle against Hertha at home.
