Football News: Indian football team felicitated at India Embassy in Doha

Indian Sports Centre, an apex body of Indian Embassy organized a felicitation function in the honour of Indian National Football team prior to their departure from Qatar. The Blue Tigers secured a historic draw against Asian champions Qatar in the World Cup Qualifiers in Doha. On the occasion India captain Sunil Chhetri, who was forced to watch from the sidelines as the Blue Tigers secured a historic draw against Asian champions Qatar due to bad health, said that he is of the believe that such achievements are just beginning. He further added that he is confident that this new young Indian team is capable of creating history in the near future. India’s centre back Anas Edathodika echoed the same though of the captain and added that the immense support that they received while playing in Qatar made him feel like playing at home.
