Indian football team coach Stephen Constantine announced the squad of 23 members for India’s campaign in the forthcoming Asian Cup football tournament. Qualifying for only their fourth Asian Cup, India will be at the continent’s biggest tournament after a gap of eight years, since missing the last edition. India’s final squad of 23 comprises of four forwards, nine midfielders, seven defenders and three goalkeepers. Meanwhile, the blue tigers finished their preparations for the upcoming Asian Cup Football Championship by holding a superior Oman to a goalless draw in their final warm-up game. India, currently ranked 97th in FIFA charts, held their own against the 82nd ranked Oman by creating a few chances while both goalkeepers Gurpreet Singh Sandhu and Amrinder Singh pulled off a few good saves to keep the scoresheet clean.
