Football News : I'm sorry- Lukaku apologises to Chelsea for Inter comments

Striker Romelu Lukaku has apologised to the Chelsea fans, head coach Thomas Tuchel, his teammates and the board after comments he made in an interview recorded three weeks ago.

In the interview, Lukaku revealed he was "not happy" with his role under Tuchel's system and expressed his desire to return to Inter Milan in the future.

The 28-year-old was subsequently dropped for his side's 2-2 draw against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, but returned to training on Tuesday and will be in the squad for Wednesday's EFL Cup semi-final first leg against Tottenham.

"I'm sorry for the upset that I've caused", the Belgian said, "also to the manager, I apologise and also to my teammates and the board."
