Football News: Gunners sign Nicolas Pepe for club-record fee of £72m

After making the deals of Gabriel Martinelli, Dani Ceballos and William Saliba done and dusted, Arsenal signed Nicolas Pepe for a club-record 72million pounds from Lille. Many portals, a week ago, made it clear that Ivorian international is joining the Gunners for over 70million pounds. Pep had a fantastic 2018-19 season in the French top-flight for Lille, where he scored 22 goals in 38 appearances and helped his side finish second in the table. Arsenal, who lost the Europa League final and finished fifth last season in the Premier League must be hoping to get the deal of Kieran Tierney too before facing Newcastle United in their opening Premier League match of the 2019-20 season.
