Football News : A look at Ranieri's managerial career as he takes on new role at Watford

Claudio Ranieri is back in the English Premier League after being hired as Watford manager. Watford will become the Italian boss' 18th club in his managerial career. After a 13-year playing career, Ranieri started out managing in the lower leagues of Italy. He made his name whilst at Cagliari where he got them promoted from Serie C1 up to Serie A. The Italian boss moved to Napoli then Fiorentina and later to Valencia where he won the Copa del Rey. In 2000, Chelsea signed him on a four-year contract where he brought in a number of successful players. Although he did not win any trophies at Stamford Bridge, he formed the core of the side that went on to achieve success. But he is most famous for leading Leicester to the Premier League title in 2016 at preseason odds of 5,000-1. The 69-year-old had many tricks for leading his players to their first league title. Ranieri also coached Fulham in England's top flight and was known for treating his players after important victories. Hoping to bring Watford success will start on the 16th October, against Liverpool, in Ranieri's first match in charge.
