Football: Mourinho launches fierce defence of Kane

Harry Kane has faced accusations that he was "clever" in winning a penalty in Tottenham's 2-1 win over Brighton. Jose Mourinho: "And you are speaking about Harry Kane? Who was in a dangerous position to control the ball. And [Adam] Lallana comes with a very reckless action and committed a foul. Why are you speaking about being clever or not clever? Being clever to hold the ball and to shoot and score. "What are we speaking about being clever with that? It’s not about being clever. Harry Kane is there to score goals. He just wants to control the ball, he sees the ball in the air and he uses his body to protect it. And Lallana was reckless, he made a mistake period. What are you speaking about? "There is no more story. Why are you speaking about us. Speak about Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and speak about these penalties, when you see the clever guy that waits for somebody to blow and they’re on the floor. Don’t speak about Harry Kane."
