Iraq defeated Yemen 3-0 in a 2109 AFC Asian Cup Group D match to book its spot in the Round of 16. Teenage sensation Mohanad Ali opened in the 11th minute for Iraq, Bashar Resan then added a second in the 19th to make it 2-0 before substitute Alaa Abbas struck for his first international goal in stoppage time to complete the scoring. Iraq maintains a 100-per cent record with the full six points from its first two matches and will face unbeaten leaders Iran for the Group D title on Wednesday.
