Feyenoord are hot on the heels of third-placed AZ in the Dutch Eredivisie after a comfortable 3-0 victory over Heerenveen in Rotterdam. The Rotterdam side were on top from the start and Nicolai Jorgensen gave them the lead after 31 minutes following some poor defending from Heerenveen. Seven minutes into the second half, Feyenoord eventually made it 2-0 with Sam Larsson playing Steven Berghuis into the penalty area and he fired low past Heerenveen goalkeeper Warner Hahn into the bottom corner. Heerenveen barely troubled the hosts and with twenty minutes left Tonny Vilhena sealed the victory with a simple finish from close range.
