Football: FC Zenit players celebrate with their fans after winning Russian Premier League

The Zenit St. Petersburg squad and their head coach Sergei Semak celebrated with fans at the city's Pulkovo-2 airport on Monday morning, after 'The Lions' won the Russian Premier League for a second straight year and for the sixth time in their history. Zenit wrapped up the title after Sunday's 4-2 win at Kuban Krasnodar gave them a 13-point lead at the top of the table with four matches remaining in the campaign. A fourth win in a row since the season restart allowed Zenit to pull away from their nearest rivals Lokomotiv Moscow, whose challenge evaporated following successive home draws against Krylya Sovetov Samara and Sochi. It was a great day all round for 44-year-old Semak, as he also became a grandfather for the first time.
